Alberta Opportunity Stream- Available for Temporary Foreign Workers who are all ready working full time in Alberta and have full time job offer from Alberta Employer in eligible occupation. This work requirement should be based on Valid work permit based on positive LMIA.
Alberta Express Entry Stream
Requirements
1. Valid Work Permit (Not Implied Status, Automatic Extension of Status or restoration of status)
a. Valid work permit is based on
-Positive LMIA
-LMIA Exemption for workers based on following exemptions as determined by IRCC
b. International Trade Agreements
c. Workers transferred within a company
d. International Experience Canada
e. Mobilise Francophone
f. An open work permit issued by IRCC to
-Vulnerable workers (abuse in employment situations)
-Family member of vulnerable worker
g. Post-Graduation work permit held by graduate of Alberta Advance Education (Public Funded Institution)
Ineligible candidates
1. Refugee claimants.
2. TR living or working in other provinces.
3. Foreign Nationals living or working in Canada without valid TR status.
Eligible Occupation
Most occupations under National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill levels 0, A, B, C and D are eligible under the AINP
Ineligible occupations
Individuals working in the following occupations at the time of application and assessment are not eligible to apply for or be nominated under the AOS.
